As a reward for the Rescue On Mount Arreat quest you are given the necessary runes to complete this Rune Word. The Ancient's Pledge Rune Word is optimal for characters with low resists. It is recommended that if a player wants resistances over skill points, and cannot yet afford Spirit, then this is a good substitute.
