Throughout the Diablo games the world of Sanctuary had been ravaged by The Prime Evils and the forces of Hell so the majority of the animals you encounter have been corrupted and thus have slightly altered physical appearances. The only animals which have not been corrupted are the small rodents, insects and reptiles that scurry across the land and some domesticated livestock. Most of the uncorrupted animals are small and run away, they include chickens, rats, bats, beetles, slugs, snakes and rabbits. You can find domesticated cows in the Rogue Encampment.
