Hadriel
From Diablo Wiki
Hadriel is a non-player character (NPC) from Diablo II.
Diablo II
The Archangel Hadriel stands at the entrance to the Chaos Sanctuary in Act IV of Diablo II. His only purpose, it seems, is to direct and remind the player to destroy Mephisto's Soulstone in the Hellforge before proceeding on to the final battle with Diablo himself. Though, even then, he is easily ignored.
According to the Dungeons & Dragons edition, To Hell and Back, Hadriel is not physically present in Hell, rather it is his projection that the player encounters.
Trivia
Hadriel is voiced by Bill Roper, who also provides the voice of Ogden the Tavern Keeper and Diablo in both Diablo and Diablo II.
