Infector of Souls is one of the three Super Unique monsters the player has to kill in order to fight Diablo, the other two being Grand Vizier of Chaos and Lord De Seis. There are a total of five seals in the Chaos Sanctuary that the player has to open, three of which spawn one of the aforementioned Super Uniques. Infector of Souls always spawns from one of seals to the lower right of the map.
Infector of Souls might be the toughest one of the three to beat. Because he is Extra Fast, he and his minions move incredibly fast. Since Venom Lords are quite fast to begin with, the increase makes them hard to outrun. As soon as the player stops to engage them, the whole group usually surrounds him. This can be quite deadly, as their Inferno attack is very deadly unless the player has adequate fire resistance.
