Description
Using venom provides a timed buff that adds poison damage to the assassins attacks. Venom caps the poisoning duration at 0.4 seconds, thus preventing long term poisoning. Consequently, all other items will only inflict poison damage for 0.4 seconds. Example: Though 700 damage over 10 seconds might seem impressive only 28 damage will be inflicted due to the 0.4 seconds cap.
The mod of +% poison skill damage, (found on poison facets, trang gloves, or runeword bramble), is applied twice if the gear with the mod on it is equipped both when Venom is casted and when Venom is delivered.
Venom works with kicks though it does not show up on the character screen.
Venom can be "prebuffed"; it can be casted at a higher skill level and the higher skill level will remain once the equipment is removed. However if the +% poison skill damage mod (found on facets, trang gloves, or bramble) is used to prebuff, the +% damage will only be applied once as opposed to the two times that it would be applied if the gear was used when the Venomous hit was delivered.
